A. Seminars and symposia
The primary emphasis of these
workshops is the education of those who are interested in, but are not
currently familiar with the topic. Depending on the interest level, we
will probably have a web-based sign up for these seminars.
1. Remote
Sensing Seminar (Erica Hoffa, Hoffae@fsl.orst.edu)
2. Geographic
Information Systems (Deana Pennington, penningtond@geo.orst.edu)
B. Symposia (to be held concurrently
with other sessions)
1. Practical
Statistics for Long Term Data (Karen Wilson, kawilson@facstaff.wisc.edu)
2. Cross-site
research and collaborative research (Stephanie Madson, madsons@sparc.ecology.uga.edu)
3. Career
Development Workshop (Erica Hoffa, Hoffae@fsl.orst.edu)
4. Integrating
social and natural sciences (Jennifer Edmonds, jedmonds@asu.edu)
C. Lunch Discussions (Christy
Tyler, Laura Broughton)
1. Informal lunches
to "meet the PIs". Specific scientists will be available at lunch
to meet with students in small groups and discuss specific ecological topics
of interest to the group. We need to generate a list of topics/PIs.
These will be held during the lunch hour on Wednesday, Thursday and
Friday and we will have a web-based sign-up prior to the meeting. PLEASE
SEND SUGGESTIONS!!
